Supervision

I am a Washington State Approved Supervisor and provide clinical supervision for both Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates (LMHCAs) and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associates (LMFTAs) who are working toward licensure.

My supervision style is collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented, with a strong emphasis on ethics, cultural responsiveness, and professional identity development. I offer both individual and group supervision to meet Washington State requirements.

Individual Supervision.

Individual supervision provides a one-on-one space to deepen your clinical skills, explore your growth edges, and reflect on your professional identity. Together, we’ll:

  • Review case conceptualizations and interventions

  • Address countertransference and professional boundaries

  • Explore issues of culture, identity, and ethics in practice

  • Build confidence in working with diverse clients, including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and sex-positive populations

This space is supportive and nonjudgmental, designed to help you integrate theory with practice and grow into your own authentic style as a clinician.

Group supervision.

Group supervision offers the opportunity to learn alongside peers, share perspectives, and practice collaboration in a supportive setting. In group, we:

  • Engage in case presentations and feedback from multiple lenses

  • Discuss common themes in clinical practice (ethics, self-care, cultural considerations)

  • Build community and normalize the challenges of early-career counseling

  • Develop confidence in articulating clinical reasoning and interventions

Group supervision is ideal for those who value shared learning, want to feel less isolated in the field, and enjoy collaborative discussion.

Things to know.

For LMHCAs:

Washington requires 3,000 hours of clinical experience, including at least 100 hours of direct supervision by a qualified, approved supervisor.

  1. At least 1,200 of those hours must be direct client contact (individuals, couples, families, or groups).

  2. I provide both individual and group supervision hours that count toward these requirements.

For LMFTAs:

Washington requires 200 total hours of supervision.

  1. At least 100 hours must be with a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who has 5+ years of clinical experience.

  2. The remaining 100 hours can be provided by any qualified approved supervisor (LMHC, PhD, etc.), and may be completed in either individual or group supervision.

  3. I can serve as a qualified supervisor for up to 100 of your required hours.
